Erika Amerson is a kindergarten teacher at Westhills Elementary School.  She holds a Bachelors of Science and a Master's of Education degree form Alabama State University.  Also, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  She has eight years teaching experience, and one year as a paraprofessional in the Bessemer School System.  She was selected as teacher of the year for the 2005-2006 school year.  She loves teaching and gives her all to implement different strategies to reach all of her children in every way possible.  Mrs. Amerson was born in Fairfield, Al.  She resides in Gardendale and happily married to her husband Torey.  Her hobbies are:  cake decorating, cooking, shopping and exercising.
