Principal's Bio

Ms. Mildred L. Posey is originally from Bessemer, Alabama.  She is a 1977 graduate of  Hueytown High School in Hueytown, Alabama.  She further matriculated at Knoxville College, in Knoxville Tennessee, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Samford University, in Birmingham, Alabama.

Ms. Posey currently holds a B.S. in Business Administration, M.A. in Elementary Education, a M.A. Certificate in Educational Administration, and an ED.S in Educational Administration.

Ms. Posey is single with two loving siblings.  Three of her siblings are deceased.  Two sisters left her left two children each, whom she nurtured and raised as her own.  In addition Ms. Posey has two grandchildren.  Both of her parents are deceased.

Ms. Posey has serviced her church, community, the Bessemer City School System for over thirty years and she still loves working with children to help them learn.
