I am originally from Belle Sumpter, Alabama. I moved to Bessemer in 1981. I am married to a wonderful man, Michael, Sr. I have 2 daughters and 1 son. Their names are Janice, Jacinta, and Michael, Jr. I am a Notary Public for the state of Alabama at large. I am a Sunday School teacher and a leader of the children's church at First Baptist Abernant. My hobbies include reading, walking, floral and wedding design.

I graduated from Oak Grove High School. I obtained a certificate from Athens School of Business in Accounting and Typing. I obtained a BS degree in Business Administration from Cambridge State University. I completed the PAST training course.

I began substitute teaching in 2005. I became a permanent 4th grade substitute at Westhills in 2005. I began working as a paraprofessional in February, 2006.
